GETTING STARTED ~

Great question! It depends on your customization level:

  • Private Label: You choose from our library of 3,000+ mature formulas and standard packaging. We print your logo on it. It’s faster (2-3 weeks) and has a lower MOQ (1,000 pcs).
  • OEM/ODM (Custom Manufacturing): We create a unique formula just for you (scent, texture, ingredients) and source custom packaging. This takes longer (4-6 weeks) and requires a higher MOQ (3,000-5,000 pcs) but gives you a truly unique product.

We work with both! Sheleys was built to bridge the gap between “rigid factories” and “agile brands.” We have a dedicated team for startups that guides you through product selection and compliance, helping you launch your first SKU with minimal risk.

  • In-Person: We are located in Baiyun, Guangzhou (20 mins from the airport). We’d love to host you for a tour and R&D consultation.

  • Virtual Tour: If you can’t travel, we offer live video tours via Zoom/WhatsApp to show you our production lines and clean rooms in real-time.

Yes. Your intellectual property is your most valuable asset. We are happy to sign a rigorous NDA before you share any brand concepts, marketing plans, or proprietary formulas with us.

ORDERS & MOQs ~

We offer tiered MOQs to suit different stages of business:

  • Stock Formulas + Stock Packaging: 1,000 pcs per SKU.

  • Custom Formula + Stock Packaging: 3,000 pcs per SKU.

  • Custom Formula + Custom Packaging: 5,000 – 10,000 pcs (Depends on the packaging vendor’s requirements).

Yes, we strongly insist on it! You should never manufacture a product you haven’t tested.

  • Cost: Standard samples are free (you pay shipping). Custom R&D samples incur a small engineering fee ($50-$100).

  • Refund Policy: All sample fees are 100% refundable when you place your bulk order.

  • In-stock samples: Shipped within 48 hours.

  • Custom R&D samples: 7-10 working days (includes stability testing).

FORMULATION & R&D~

Yes. Our R&D lab is equipped to analyze benchmark products (e.g., from Sephora or Amazon). We can recreate the texture, scent, and efficacy profile, often with a >95% similarity match, or even improve it by adding trending ingredients.

We adhere to global “Clean Beauty” standards.

  • We source from top-tier suppliers like BASF, DSM, and Givaudan.

  • We can formulate Paraben-Free, Sulfate-Free, Silicone-Free, Vegan, and Cruelty-Free products.

  • We strictly avoid banned substances listed in the EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.

Yes. Our formula library covers:

  • Anti-Aging: Retinol, Peptides, Collagen.

  • Acne/Oily: Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree, Niacinamide.

PACKAGING & DESIGN ~

No, we handle everything. Being in Guangzhou, we are at the center of the global cosmetic packaging supply chain. We can source bottles, jars, tubes, and boxes for you at factory-direct prices. Of course, if you have your own packaging supplier, we are happy to accept “Customer Supplied Materials” for filling.

Yes. We have an in-house design team.

  • Basic Service: We provide dielines (templates) for your designer to use.

  • Full Service: If you don’t have a designer, we can help layout your logo and compliance text onto the packaging for a small fee.

We offer premium decoration options to make your brand stand out:

  • Silk Screen Printing: For clean, bold logos directly on the bottle.

  • Hot Stamping: Gold/Silver foil for a luxury look.

  • Labeling: High-quality waterproof stickers (Glossy/Matte/Soft-touch).

  • 3D Printing / Water Transfer: For unique patterns.

PRODUCTION & QUALITY ~

  • Standard Orders: 20-30 days after you confirm the sample and packaging artwork.

  • Urgent Orders: Please consult your project manager. We can sometimes expedite production to 15 days for repeat orders.

Our “Zero-Defect” protocol includes:

  1. IQC (Incoming Quality Control): Testing all raw materials and packaging before they enter the warehouse.

  2. In-Process QC: Hourly checks on the filling line (weight, seal, appearance).

  3. FQC (Final Quality Control): Random sampling before shipment based on AQL standards.

  4. Microbiological Test: Every batch is held in quarantine for 3-5 days to ensure no bacteria growth.

  • GMPC (Good Manufacturing Practice of Cosmetics) – US/EU Standard.

  • ISO 22716 – International Standard.

SHIPPING & COMPLIANCE ~

We export to 50+ countries. We offer flexible shipping terms:

  • EXW (Ex Works): You pick up goods from our factory.

  • FOB (Free on Board): We deliver to the port (Guangzhou/Shenzhen), and your forwarder takes over.

  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): The most popular option. We handle shipping, customs clearance, and taxes. The goods are delivered directly to your door (or Amazon FBA warehouse).

While the brand owner is the “Responsible Person” for registration, Sheleys does the heavy lifting. We provide all the technical dossiers you need, including:

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)

  • COA (Certificate of Analysis)

  • Ingredient List (INCI) with percentages

  • TDS (Technical Data Sheet)

We pack with 5-layer export cartons and corner protectors. However, accidents happen. If goods arrive damaged due to packing issues, we will replace them for free in your next order or issue a refund for the damaged portion.

Advanced & Operations ~

Yes, roughly 40% of our clients are Amazon sellers. We are very familiar with FBA requirements.

  • We can apply FNSKU barcodes and Made in China labels for you.

  • We ensure carton dimensions and weights meet Amazon’s strict inbound policies.

  • We can ship via DDP directly to Amazon FBA centers in the US, UK, and Europe.

If you pay the full R&D engineering fee for a completely new custom formula, you own the formula. We can sign an agreement stating that we will not sell this specific formulation to any other client. However, if you choose a product from our “Standard Library” (Private Label), the formula IP remains with Sheleys, but you have the rights to sell it under your brand.

  • Packaging: You can ship your bottles/tubes to our factory.

  • Raw Materials: If you have a specific rare extract or patented ingredient, you can supply it. However, it must come with valid COA and MSDS documents, and it must pass our incoming lab inspection for safety before we use it.

No, we are a B2B bulk manufacturer, not a retail fulfillment center. We do not ship individual parcels to your end customers. Our focus is on manufacturing high-quality pallets and master cartons for brands, distributors, and warehouses.

Yes. This is one of our specialties—“Modernized TCM.” Our R&D team uses advanced extraction methods and fragrance-masking technologies to retain the herbal efficacy while making the scent more pleasant and acceptable for Western markets (e.g., adding natural peppermint, lavender, or citrus notes).

Absolutely. We welcome it. You can arrange for agents like SGS, Intertek, or QIMA to visit our factory for a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). We will cooperate fully with their inspectors to review quality, quantity, and packing standards.

Yes, sustainability is a major trend. We can source:

  • PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) Plastics.

  • Sugarcane/Bioplastic Tubes.

  • Refillable Systems (e.g., refillable airless pumps).
